Jane Marshall McRobie (née Kemp)

Jane is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a master's degree from the University of Chicago. She has trained and practiced across a range of settings including clinical psychology research, community health centers, hospitals, and outpatient clinics, and now offers individual psychotherapy both in person and online.

Jane specializes in working with women navigating OCD, complex anxiety disorder and relational trauma. She is particularly drawn to working with people who are highly self-aware and intellectually engaged with their inner lives, but find that understanding alone hasn't been enough to create the change they're looking for. Many of her clients also struggle with perfectionism, chronic self-doubt, people-pleasing, and critical self-talk, as these patterns often sit at the intersection of anxiety and early relational experience.

Her clinical approach integrates several empirically supported modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Jane believes that lasting change requires working with both the mind and the body, and she draws on her training as a registered yoga teacher (RYT 200) to incorporate somatic and mindfulness-based practices into her clinical work, offering clients a broader range of tools for processing experience and building a sense of inner safety.

Jane practices from a holistic, trauma-informed perspective and holds a deep respect for the diverse cultural, spiritual, racial, and relational contexts that shape each person's experience. She is committed to creating a space that is affirming, inclusive, and genuinely open, and approaches her own ongoing growth as a clinician and human being with the same curiosity and humility she brings to her work with clients.
